Urban Green Project | Emirati Arabi
Questo progetto di villa per gli Emirati Arabi è stato realizzato su commissione della società Urban Green, Ecologic House. Le forme e le scelte compositive rispecchiano un attento studio del clima del luogo per ottenere il massimo comfort termo-igrometrico.
La villa presenta, infatti, un tetto piano formato da due elementi rettangolari che sporgono rispetto al volume abitato in modo da generare numerosi spazi ombreggiati esterni quali portici e terrazze coperte. L’intonaco di protezione ha una colorazione chiara che riprende i toni beige della sabbia, ma non bianca, per ridurre l’abbagliamento. I materiali da utilizzare per la costruzione devono essere ad alta capacità termica per questo si è scelto di utilizzare una struttura a telaio in legno e un buon isolamento esterno.
Per poter avere delle aperture ampie nei due prospetti principali e far entrare nelle stanze interne la luce naturale è necessario utilizzare delle schermature per evitare l’eccessivo irraggiamento solare. In questo ci viene in aiuto la tradizione locale che negli anni ha sviluppato i Mashrabiya, elementi lignei posti in corrispondenza delle aperture, decorati con bellissimi disegni tratti dall’arte araba,
che fungono da protezione sia per la privacy, sia per l’irradiazione solare. Grazie all’utilizzo di questi elementi, i saloni principali della villa sono arredati da suggestivi giochi di luce e ombre. Nei prospetti laterali invece, per ombreggiare e schermare le grandi terrazze, si è scelto di utilizzare una lamiera stirata e ondulata, in modo da dare alla villa anche un aspetto più contemporaneo.
È negli ambienti interni alla villa che possiamo maggiormente apprezzare il raffinato gusto italiano per il lusso. Infatti l’interno è caratterizzato da una elegante lobby d’ingresso, su entrambi i piani, che unisce i due fronti principali e da un lungo corridoio scenografico su cui si affacciano tutti gli ambienti principali. Al piano terra troviamo una suddivisione tra gli spazi pubblici che si affacciano sul fronte strada con due diversi saloni per donne e uomini, quest’ultimo con accesso direttamente dall’esterno, e spazi privati riservati alla famiglia che si affacciano verso il giardino. Gli ambienti di servizio si trovano in un blocco laterale che ospita anche la stanza della Maid e quella del Driver.

This villa project for the UAE was commissioned by the Urban Green, Ecologic House company. The shapes and compositional choices reflect a careful study of the climate of the place to get the most comfortable indoor temperature and humidity.
In fact, the villa has a flat roof formed by two rectangular elements which protrudes from the inhabited volume and generates numerous shady spots such as outside porches and covered terraces. The plaster on the external walls has a clear color, that takes beige tones of the sand, but not white, to reduce glare. The materials to be used for the construction must be high heat capacity. For this reason, the main structure is made of wood and the walls have a good external insulation.
In order to have large openings in the two main facades and let natural light in the inner rooms we need to use shielding to avoid excessive sunlight. In this matter the local tradition helps us because, over the years, it has developed the Mashrabiya, wooden elements placed at the openings, decorated with beautiful drawings taken from Arab art, which act as protection for both privacy and for solar radiation. Thanks to these elements, the main rooms of the villa are decorated by a beautiful play of light and shadow. On the side facades instead, in order to shade and screen the large terraces, we chose to use expanded and wavy metal panels, which give the house a more contemporary look.
Indoors we can better appreciate the refined Italian taste for luxury. In fact, inside of the villa there are two elegant lobbies on both floors which connect the two main fronts and a scenic hallway overlooked by all the main rooms. On the ground floor there is a division between the private spaces, reserved for the family that overlook the garden, and the public spaces that look out onto the street. There are two separate rooms for women and men, the latter with a direct access from the outside. The service areas are located in a side block which also houses the Maid’s room and the Driver’s room.
